Things like this make me worry for the safety of the Democratic frontrunner.

Posted by Kriston at January 7, 2008 3:20 PMThat's pretty amazingly frightening. What I don't understand is what clues did that guy find to identify an anti-war, pro-universal health care, liberal candidate as a war-mongering fascist? Did he read Jonah Goldberg's book already?
Posted by: Fletch at January 7, 2008 10:29 PMApparently the dude fancies himself a conceptual artist.
"A one-of-a-kind book comprised of collages, pop-up art, and writings from an imagined future, The Audacity of Blood is a slanderous portrayal of Illinois Senator Barack Obama. There is no serious political connotation. Geoff plans to donate his portion of the proceeds to the Obama for President campaign."
So what's your art critic take on this creep?
Posted by: Other Ezra at January 7, 2008 11:18 PMWithout seeing firsthand I can't really say. I approve the title (The Audacity of Blood) and I like an early spread in which two pictures of Obama of different sizes are simply affixed on the pages. I recently received a Star Wars pop-up book for xtmas that even has working light-up light sabers, which has set the bar quite high for the genre, I'm afraid.
"Liberal" and "fascist" being redundant, that part I can see. But would a powerful American global military regime have so many detractors on the right? The threat of fascism/liberalism is teh gay and teh healthy eating; I think the author misses this fact.

And i'm not sure i've missed any facts; the book is meant to be silly and I intentionally steered clear of any actually relevant critique that anyone would have of Obama. I made it for my own entertainment and the entertainment of others... I hope it sells so the revenue can help Obama become our next president.
