Question:

How much would you pay to see the Beatles play live?

All alive and in full vigor of youth, of course. Playing at a mid-sized venue (say, the 9:30 Club, whose upcoming shows include Editors, Blonde Redhead, Lupe Fiasco, for size reference).

Are we talking a specific tour here, or just the Beatles playing selections from their full repertoire?

Honestly, whatever the answer to the above, I'm not sure. My first thought was $500, but I would clearly pay more than that. $1000? Of course, all this is contrast to how much I would be willing to pay for a youthful Rolling Stones.

What do you want them to play? So long as they played "Paperback Writer," I'd consider my $500 well spent.

Assuming a venue no larger than 9:30, probably $1000, maybe a little more. Probably twice that for the Who at their peak.

Whatever I had in my checking account at the moment, probably, but I wouldn't start liquidating any assets.

Honestly, I think that I would pay the most to see Rubber Soul or Magical Mystery Tour. I feel like a greatest hits tour would be too...Eagles-esque. Of course, it would help if there were also tons of screaming girls in white mini-skirts.
