Think With the Senses, Feel With the Mind, Drink With the Italians

Cara Ober reports with a tour of Robert Storr's show at the Venice Biennale. I'm bemused by the way she writes off a room of Elizabeth Murray's paintings with an "I hated them," but you should give her a read—she's very accessible and touches briefly on a lot of the artists in the show.

Accessible, but not really... informative.

"I hated them" "...about painting and the color white." "duh" "Robert Ryman got a full room of white paintings."

It's not cool to slag on another writer's work and not leave your own name, anon. I know firsthand that it's hard to survey a show as massive as the Biennale, and what she's writing is plainly in-the-field, for-the-readers-back-home, gut-level-reaction reporting.

A name or at least a handle. Handles are fine. I'm in a grouchy mood today.
