We can all breathe easy—The Wire has been renewed for a fourth season. If you haven't seen it, quit your job and rent seasons one and two.
Posted by Kriston at March 18, 2005 10:56 AMI need to get them on DVD, since I don't have HBO, so they're going on the Amazon Wish List. Since I don't have a convenient link to this list on my site, give me $100, Kriston.
Posted by: norbizness at March 18, 2005 11:25 AMI started watching season one last night. I am from baltimore originally so it is very cool to see all of the location shots.
Posted by: Joe O at March 18, 2005 1:27 PMThank god. I don't know if I could have dealt with the death of *spoiler removed* as the finale of the show. Too many loose ends. Now let's hope for Carnivale, which I'll continue to argue is practically the opposite of the wire in tenor and equally awesome...
Posted by: Kanishka at March 18, 2005 2:10 PMCarnivale makes me want to run towards the nearest living thing and kill it.
I would also like $100, Kriston.
Posted by: Kevin at March 18, 2005 5:14 PMI read about this in the New York Times and found out what happened at the end of Season 3 even though I haven't yet seen it. Great. Now not only can I not go to the official website without seeing news I don't want to see, I can't read the New York Times either.
Also, I really liked the Tim Hawkinson exhibit.
Posted by: Missy at March 19, 2005 4:57 PMMissy, I had the end of Season 3 spoiled for me as well, but the last few episodes were still ridiculously entertaining. At first I was pissed, but then I realized that its hardly the plot twists that make the show worthwhile.
